Health and Social Care Futures
ONE DAY CONFERENCE WEDNESDAY 26th March 2014. Plymouth University, Portland Square Building, Stonehouse Lecture Theatre (presentations) and Atria (posters)
As we all know health and social care is constantly changing. Some of these changes are because of different political views and ideas, but major changes are in response to important trends in science, technology, and demographics. This one day conference on health and social care will examine some of these major influences. Presentations will be by researchers working in the fields of ageing and public health (Catherine Hennessy), genetics (Heather Skirton), sustainability (Janet Richardson), e-health and health technologies (Ray Jones), implementation science (Bridie Kent), the changing face of clinical education (Ruth Endacott), and innovation in General Practice (Hilary Neve). Presenters will draw upon their current research to illustrate the changing environment.
The audience for this one day conference will comprise clinical and non-clinical professionals working in health and social care, academics and other researchers in related areas. Patients and service users are also very welcome to attend. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance for their continuing professional development portfolios.
Please note that to keep costs to the very low level of £28 and to avoid the waste of raw materials, we will only supply the final timetable and lunch ticket. A buffet lunch will be provided. We ask all delegates to please re-use a name badge with good visibility from a previous conference. Slides from presentations will be made available on the internet after the conference
