Invitation - New Research - Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults within the Christian Community

In recent times we have become increasingly aware that churches up and down the country are working with and ministering to vulnerable adults in many different ways. Although the safeguarding children agenda has been with us all for some time, we are only now beginning to understand the role of the Church in safeguarding adults.

As a result, CCPAS is conducting a new piece of ground-breaking research into understandings of vulnerable adults in the Christian faith context. This study is being led by Justin Humphreys (our Head of Safeguarding) and Dr. Lisa Oakley (Programme Leader for Abuse Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University).

To do this we have designed a short survey that will take about 5-10 mins to complete and we would like to invite you to participate. If you are an adult who attends church or works for a Christian organisation and are willing to complete this short survey please follow the link below. This will take you to the survey and will provide an overview of what the research is about and how the information gathered will be used:

The closing date will be in early October, but we would like to encourage you to complete the short survey as soon as you are able.

Many thanks for your time and consideration of this invitation.

Simon Bass, CEO, CCPAS) & Dr. Lisa Oakley (Programme Leader, Manchester Metropolitan University).
