Raising Epilepsy Awareness Event - Friday, 22nd May, from 10am - 4pm.
As part of Epilepsy Awareness Week, St. Sidwells Community Centre* will be hosting an Epilepsy Awareness Day and we are cordially inviting people from local companies, recruitment agencies, volunteer and public sector organisations to attend one or more of our short informative sessions.
The aim of the day is to raise awareness about the barriers to work faced by people with epilepsy and to provide valuable information on the simple steps employers and jobseekers can take to overcome them.
Sessions presented by guest speakers on the day will include:
- Raising Employers Awareness: Dispelling Common Myths
- Working With Epilepsy:Overcoming Barriers
- Researching Epilepsy: Facts, Figures and Statistics
- Managing Epilepsy:ACTION - First Aid Advice
Free refreshments and information packs, kindly donated by the Epilepsy Society, will be available on the day.
