Tackling Domestic Violence and Abuse Training

 

Aims and Objectives:

This one day multi-agency course will examine the nature, scale and consequences of domestic violence and how to take appropriate action, where possible. This course is practical and user friendly. Participants will experience an enjoyable and productive workshop involving group discussion and participative exercises.

By the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the extent of domestic violence within our society
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of domestic violence on adults and children
  • Explore personal strategies and practices to protect and safeguard those experiencing Domestic Violence
  • Practice using appropriate interventions
