BIHR Guide to the Human Rights Act
The current government is contemplating replacing the Human Rights Act with a British Bill of Rights and will circulate a consultation paper asking for people's views on this issue later this spring.
This eBook provides a whistlestop tour of where our human rights came from, how they are protected by the Human Rights Act, and the difference this Act has made to everyday life in the 15 years that it has been in force.
The BIHR have also produced a series of films, each of which focuses on a different aspect of their work and are launching a range of issue-specific guides for health and social care practitioners later this spring to support a human rights approach to work.
These films as well as a range of guides and factsheets can be accessed via the following link: http://www.bihr.org.uk/
